  • I tried, I really really tried! I had been looking forward to reading this book, but it did not work for me at all!Caris was 'weak'! I have no issues with submissives AT ALL, but it was just There was no 'power exchange', just Caris acting weird, catching Dasalin's eye, and then Casalin being kind of a jerk! I didn't get very far, maybe 26% before giving up Also the names!!! I get that this is a demon world, but when you're having trouble separating characters and it doesn't 'flow' it becomes ha [...]

  • I don't even know where to start with this. I have enjoyed all of Hannah's books. I love her Avanti series, but this one is just amazing. It pulled me in from page one and never let go. Seeing the interaction of different worlds, the politics of one people trying to get along with another. It was fascinating. I was there with the characters, not just reading them. The imaging is crystal clear and the plot so smooth I couldn't put it down. I loved how it opened doors to new books and introduced u [...]

  • Hemm this is 'yaoi' book I love so much when the Alpha Male hero fall for delicate, almost fragile male hero as the heroine but not. Yup. This very kind of book, dear sis.No no no, this alien wasn't slick with slime gel or with tentacles eww no! The alien was about tall and big and purple with hard body and horns, please don't forget the horns, you can imagine them being grab when you know *squirming here*oh! and tail. Yes. The alien demon has tail. And his human-like mate aka the hero as the he [...]

  • Another great book by Hannah Walker! Dasa kept cracking me up with all his he-man over protectiveness. Caris was a good complement to Dasa. I only wish that I could see more of the carefree Caris in the book instead of the uptight ambassador that was in the first half of the book. I enjoyed finally seeing more of my Avanti boys too! I can't wait to read the next book in the series Hmmhmm I mean Bo's story! I can't wait till that man gets a little payback--Aridian--because of all the trouble he g [...]

  • But demons do blushA well written, fast paced, varied story that really only was missing a bit of setup and build up at the beginning to keep it from being perfect. This story seems to be a bit of a spin off of the Avanti Chronicles. Having never read those books, indeed never having even heard of them until half way through the book when it comes up, I can assure you this book is independent enough that it can be read apart from that series. I do wonder though if that is where some of the world [...]

  • Rating: 4 starsI decided to give this series a try after I gave up on the Avanti Chronicles. I must say that I liked this series much better than the last book I read in that series. This series had enough going on that it kept me interested. Ms. Walker does have a habit of getting a bit sappy in her writing, but this book toned it down a bit more than in previous books. I liked both Desalin and Coris as the MCs. I also liked Bo, Mac and Ari as secondary characters. I was glad that we got to see [...]

  • I finished reading this with great difficulty and much eye-rolling.This book was not for me, from the writing style (mistakes, constant POV shifting, artificial-feeling dialogue and weird pet names (view spoiler)[seriously : "my little dynamo"? and there were A LOT of those (hide spoiler)]) to the story (insufficient world-building and a lot of cliché M/M genre situations).I was hoping for a nice M/M sci-fi story, but was really disappointed by the lack of subtelty involved in writing this book [...]

  • I absolutely loved this book - a perfect blend of heat, passion and danger. Dasa made me laugh - Caris got under his skin and I loved watching him crumble under all that sizzling lust, need and passion. Watching Dasa getting his moves on to the music was fun especially, when he gets caught by Bo. Caris was on the shorter side in comparison to the gorgeous Dasa but he was feisty and stubborn. These two complemented each other beautifully. The story was captivating, gripping and exciting. I can’ [...]

  • I couldn't even finish it. I really liked the colorful Demons and what not, but I really couldn't stand the MC. The plot was not interesting, I didn't even want to go on reading. And I usually at least like this kind of books.

  • Loved it💖I really enjoyed seeing more from the worlds on the periphery of the Avanti series. I know that I'm going to love The Demonic Tales just as much.

  • I've been looking for something just like this I can rarely find M/M sci-fi books with aliens that look different than most humanoids with the tail and horns and scales. I love that.

  • Nice addition. This is a separate, but related, series from the Avanti. I liked seeing some familiar faces in this one, but it was a wholly separate book. These demons are great, as usual, I love the richness of Hannah Walker's world building.

  • **ARC RECEIVED FOR HONEST REVIEW**REVIEWING FOR ONE CLICK AHOLICS BOOK GROUPThis book, while separate from The Avanti Chronicles, is centred around The Alliance which we’ve come across in Avanti. Caris is a member of The Alliance and also the Terran Ambassador for them too. Then we’ve got Prince Dasa, who turns Caris into a total klutz whenever he’s near !! They are both extremely complex characters and are both from different planets. Dasa is a demon and Caris is a Terran and is a visitor [...]

  • I enjoyed this story but was bothered by a number of things that kept me from giving it a higher rating. The thing that hit me right away was the MC's physical incompatibility: Dasa was 3 FEET taller than Caris!!! Things just don't line up! When Caris is said to rise to tiptoe to kiss Dasa, that just doesn't work for me. I kept picturing it all through the book, especially in the sex scenes. The next thing that kept happening to drag me out of the narrative was the numerous continuity errors. Ca [...]

  • Oooohhhh okay - - I do not know what to say - I seem to love Hannah's books! This was a great story about Demon Prince Dasa and Terran Ambassador Caris. This story is filled with mystery, intrigue, kidnapping, fighting scenes, laughter and dancing. We also get to see the Avanti crew again briefly but we meet Hunter's young siblings and Bell's brothers. Caris is fiesty, loyal, compassionate, and funny. He sets out to find out what happened to his Avanti friends and the mystery surrounding the dis [...]

  • I loved this bookThis book was fantastic. It was a heart stopping, exciting adventure with intrigue and betrayal but it also was a love story. Not just the main love between Caris and Dama but also the love of friends who become family. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series which, I believe, will feature Bo and Aridien as the MCs. This book is also loosely linked to her other series the Avanti Chronicles and you get to see the guys from that series too. Both Car is and Dama are fanta [...]

  • I loved this story its about caris and dasa who is the prince of the demons this book is amazing and the characters are awesome i fell in love with them. The storyline is very intense with alot of laughter and surpriseing characters this was such a amazing story it kept me on the edge of my seat i could not put this book down it was to good to be put downI loved caris and dasa's relationship it was so strong and there connection were amazing i love hannah walker she does amazing work and equilly [...]

  • DNF!I loved Booker's song, and more than delighted at finding a new favorite author, I bought this book.Big mistake!Head hopping, way too many unexplained emotions if you're, like me, new to the series, no build up, just fucking. To be honest, this book could have been great! The world building sounded pretty cool, but the many "voices" were hard to follow, and I gave up when even more were added to the mix *_* Will wait for the next Dragon, and skip this as well as the other series - same unive [...]

  • Going back and re-reading this series. I enjoyed it very much the first time I read it, that I am amazed how going back I can see the devlish and talent Hannah Walker is. On second read you see the plots from a totally different angle, you see things that you missed the first go around. I highly recommend all fan's of Hannah's to do like I am and re-read this series before you read her new book which is soon to be released.

  • Oh yes, say hello to the demons! This book it's sexy, passionate, full of action, treason, love and intrigue. Say hello to all the lovely demons! This book is in the same universe as the Avanti series and is totally recommended that you start with that one although it's not necessary. Although it has lots of insight of what is happening. Can't wait to read lots more. Grab your copy and read it. Happy reading!

  • Very well done! I enjoyed the new world created in the Avanti universe. The demons are an interesting race and I can't wait to see more of them. Ms.Walker has a enviable skill of creating secondary characters as lovable and interesting as the MCs, and she even brings in the Avanti characters very briefly for a quick catch up of sorts. Caris and Dasa are great together, though I do wish I'd had more "screen time" with the couple, but I'm sure I'll see more in the subsequent books.

  • Another great adventure! I very much enjoyed this book. The Avanti series and this one are closely tied so I would recommend starting there but it's not absolutely necessary. I love science fiction and the world building that goes into it really provides a great escape for me. Thank You Hannah Walker for the fun and enjoyable adventure!

  • Fantastic readAfter reading the first two of the Avanti Chronicles I knew that I had to get this one as well, and I certainly wasn't disappointed. I loved reading about the demons and how Caris dealt with living amongst them. Dasa was so very hot dominating Caris when they first got together!

  • Highly recommend!!!I read the first book in the Avanti Chronicles several days ago and was so impressed that I have been on a mission to read everything I can find written by Hannah Walker! I have enjoyed all of these novels so much. My only disappointment is that I have to wait for the next books in the series to be published. I honestly can't wait!!!!! I loved them all!

  • Not what I expectedI was thinking a quick fun read with lots of sex while it was also those things it was a lot more. I loved every minute of it and am looking forward to reading the next one.

  • This was a great introduction to a spin off series (Avanti Chronicles) and I loved every minute! Caris and Dasa were great together (and hot!) and I thought that a lot of the action scenes were engaging and well written. Can't wait for the next book in the series!

  • KUStarted out strong, loved the story, but then it got a little sex heavy and it interfered with the story. Also, it got too cheesy toward the end. And then there's "Little Dynamo". I could live without ever reading that again. Very overdone.

  • Awesome startThis was a awesome start to this seriese world building was Spectacular.I was totally in tuned with the MC's and the secondary characters were very well written and I loved them just as muchn't wait for the next book!!!

  • I really enjoyed this book, surprisingly deep characters and a rich plot. Just one thing kept me from absolutely loving it The word 'Dynamo' seriously just purge it from the whole frecking book! It made me want to hit someone, like the author. But other than that, good read.

  • I'm sorry, but I can't rate it higher. This book was full of one-dimensional characters. It a cliched "Alpha male" meets "feisty weaker hero who obviously loves to be dominated in bed". I was bored to tears by the middle of the story.
